Standing about 10 feet tall, it anchors a 30,000-square-foot fan zone that organizers say will show all 104 matches across 34 match days, with the tournament kicking off June 11.
W ith less than two weeks until the World Cup kicks off, the Bay Area is dressing for the occasion. A centerpiece for the Bay Area
Once finished, the oversized ball will stand about 10 feet tall and 8 feet wide, welcoming visitors and supporters to the square. A 30,000-square-foot fan zone
San Pedro Square is set for a wider transformation during the tournament. Organizers plan to convert roughly 30,000 square feet of surrounding streets into a fan zone for watch parties and other experiences. The venue will show all 104 World Cup matches across 34 match days, giving fans in the Bay Area a place to gather throughout the event.
